The School of Theology, Philosophy, and Music is interested in receiving research proposals in the following areas:

-Musicology(across a broad range of music genres, practices and stylistic periods)

And especially in the areas of :

- Contemporary Music (including Irish Contemporary Music)

- Choral Studies

- Film Musicor Popular Music

- Electroacoustic Processes and Analysis

- Applied Musicology

- Music, Society, and Culture

Prospective applicants are encouraged to make informal contact with a faculty member whose research area covers their proposed doctoral work in advance of anapplication.
