Job: Visiting Lecturer of Recorded Musics, New York University

The NYU Department of Music (Arts & Science) invites applicants for a full-time Visiting Lecturer of Recorded Musics.

Deadline: 16.01.2024

This position will involve teaching three undergraduate-level studio recording techniques courses per academic year, with one course to be taught in each of three semesters—Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2025. While the standard course load for visiting lecturers is six courses per academic year, the courseload for this position will be reduced to three courses per year in recognition of service related to the Department’s Mercer Studios. Service responsibilities will include supervising Mercer Studio recording sessions and open studio hours; overseeing and maintaining all Mercer Studio and Department of Music AV equipment; and providing essential audio/visual support to faculty and students for classes and events including lectures, performances, meetings, recording sessions, and concerts.
