Call for Nominations: Book Review Co-Editor, Ethnomusicology
Call for Nominations
Book Review Co-Editor, Ethnomusicology
Ethnomusicology seeks nominations for the position of Book Review Co-editor. Journal review editors serve a four-year term. Book review-co-editors work closely with one another and are responsible for soliciting and documenting items submitted for review, commissioning reviewers, editing review manuscripts, and collaborating with the journal editor and other review editors.
If you are interested in being considered for this position or would like to suggest a candidate, please contact Kate Brucher, Editor (kbrucher[at]depaul[dot]edu), and Andrew Snyder, Incoming Editor (asnyder[at]fcsh[dot]unl[dot]pt), of Ethnomusicology by Friday, November 13, 2026. Andrew and Kate will be at the Society for Ethnomusicology’s annual meeting and would be happy to talk with anyone interested in the position.
Following the process outlined in the Society for Ethnomusicology Editorial Appointments Policies & Procedures (last updated 05/18/23), the Journal Editor, Board of Directors, and Publications Advisory Committee consult and suggest candidates for a Review Editor. The Journal Editor selects one candidate and makes a recommendation to the Board. Because the Incoming Editor will work closely with the Editor, they will be part of the selection process. The Board makes the final selection of a Review Editor.
